Werther´s Echte conquer Germany
On the basis of a unique recipe and the many years of experience in caramel candy making, the Werther´s Echte brand is available throughout Germany for the first time.

1909
The invention
It happened in the little town of Werther in 1909. That is where confectioner Gustav Nebel created his most perfect candy at the peak of his career. He took some cream, good butter, refined white sugar, brown rock sugar, a pinch of salt and plenty of time to create the initial recipe for his popular cream candy.
Much has changed since then – and some things have stayed exactly as they've always been.
